2. Product Release Specifications

 Release title: If the brand name is provided, it is suggested to follow the pattern of “[Brand Name] + [Product Name or Model/Specifications] + [Other Information]” in the title.

2.1 Description of product functions and features

Presentation of product parameters:

The parameters list must be explicitly provided in Product Details;

The product name, model, and specifications must be explicitly provided;

Main functions and specification parameters of the product shall be subject to those published on the official website, or those indicated on the outer packaging or in the description of the product, in the absence of official website.

2.2 Tips on anti-counterfeiting information of products: for products with official anti-counterfeiting measures, sellers shall provide the anti-counterfeiting information and the inquiry methods.

4. Punishment for violations

4.1 Sellers shall comply with requirements of product release specifications (title, product parameter descriptions, etc.) and product quality criteria as specified in the category standard for mobile phones.

 4.2 If the seller’s product does not conform to the product release specifications of the category, it will affect the exposure of the product and its probability of being selected into the platform’s marketing promotions.

4.3 In the event that a seller sells any product that does not comply with the industrial product quality criteria, or is manufactured by an unqualified manufacturer, or does not meet any mandatory national, local, industrial and enterprise standards, or does not comply with any rules announced by LAliExpress, LAliExpress may impose punishments on the seller by deducting their points based on the non-compliance severity of the product.

(1) Where a seller fails to disclose information on product flaws, etc., or the product description mismatches with the product received by the buyer, and affects normal use by the buyer, LAliExpress may remove the nonconforming product and deduct two points from the seller for each violation, and include such violations in the transaction violation system and other point systems;

(2) Where the description of a product on material, components, parameters, etc. from a seller is completely different from the product received by the buyer or hinders normal use by the buyer, LAliExpress may remove the nonconforming product and deduct twelve points from the seller for each violation, and include such violations in the transaction violation system and other point systems;

(3) Where a product is verified, through the notification by competent national authorities or official sampling inspection by LAliExpress, to have potential danger and harm to personal safety and other serious impacts, for example, an electric appliance is verified to have electric leakage and nonconforming electric strength under normal working temperature, LAliExpress shall remove the nonconforming product and deduct twelve points from the seller for each violation, and include such violations in the transaction violation system and other point systems;

(4) Where a product of a seller is verified to be nonconforming through quality related inspections, for example, in the aspect of total radiant power, LAliExpress may remove the nonconforming product and deduct two points from the seller for each violation, and include such violations in the transaction violation system and other point systems;

(5) Where a seller is found to have repeatedly violated the rules, or the circumstance or impact of the violation is extremely serious, LAliExpress may decide to “directly deduct 48 points and close the account” based on the severity of the aforesaid violations.

Suggestions for Sellers

The seller should describe the commodity material, composition, and parameters via images and text as truthfully as possible. The seller should clarify information such as the defects, shelf life, and incidental goods of the commodity, so that the buyer is aware of the commodity from many aspects. This way, both parties will have a clear understanding of the commodity description, avoiding unnecessary disputes. product awareness from multiple aspects, ensuring both parties have the same and clear understanding of the product, avoiding unnecessary disputes; and Furthermore, the seller should conduct strict quality control on the goods sold to strive for a win-win situation between the buyer and seller.

1. What does “Mismatch” mean in “description of material and components of a product ‘mismatches’ with the product received by the buyer”?

  “Mismatch” includes but is not limited to the following:

1) Certain functionality as indicated in the product description does not exist in the actual product.

2. What does “Complete inconsistency” mean in “description of material and components of a product has ‘complete inconsistency’ from the product received by the buyer”?

 “Complete inconsistency” includes but not limited to the following:

1) The product ordered is an electronic storage device or a computer, but the actual capacity and configuration of the product are completely different from the product description or the seller’s guarantee;

3. What is the application scope of “Where a seller is found to have repeatedly violated the rules, or the circumstance or impact of the violation is extremely serious, LAliExpress may decide to ‘directly deduct 48 points and close the account’ based on the severity of the aforesaid violations”?

It is applicable to circumstances including but not limited to: a high number of nonconforming products or complaints from buyers, causing very serious implications for the platform and buyers.
